Brillant capture Janet! I like the gulls in flight they make beautiful subjects in a composition. I also like how you got the rudder in this very interesting. smile
Janet Holden: Thank you very much Frances. I do like the gulls
Great shot Janet! Birds in flight are so hard to capture well!
Janet Holden: Thank you very much Elizabeth. Quite often a bit of luck comes into it
This is excellent Janet... the smooth flight of the gulls in contrast to the rusted rudder and the chains and the muddy water... all came together to make a piece of art....petersmile
Janet Holden: Thank you very much Peter. I really prefer it when the tide is in but it's quite interesting when it's out too.
mud???
Janet Holden: Lot's of mud like sand on the harbour floor Chantal
I can almost hear the screeching, Janet.
Janet Holden: You'll have to tune in tomorrow Graeme

These things really are great survivors aren't they Janet. We have problems with them in Bath
Janet Holden: They do seem to be successful at breeding don't they. Can be a nuisance as you say

Great capture Janet. Perfect timing!
Janet Holden: Thank you very much Richard
I like this, there's something interesting about getting to the bottom of harbours with the camera, when the waters out of course smile
Janet Holden: Thank you very much Brian. When the tide is out there are compensations

Some places it really is a gull's world, Janet. Some of them (the gulls) even end up with names. smile

Good capture of birds on the wing, and good colours, as usual, Janet

In like the way the chain is dragging through the silt.
I like the gritty marine feel you've captured here, Janet. Two gulls in flight in the same shot; wonderful!
